The structure is visible from across the harbor and to passengers on aircraft descending into Boston Logan International Airport. Massport commissioned the project as a centerpiece for regional festivities, aiming to engage the community before the city hosts seven World Cup games. The display, which remains open to the public through June 18, functions as both a marketing activation and a gathering point for visitors.
Britten Inc. handled the engineering, fabrication, and logistics for the installation. According to Paul Britten Jr., the company’s executive vice president of sales and marketing, the project reflects a focus on turning ambitious concepts into large-scale public experiences. Based in Traverse City, Michigan, the fabrication firm specializes in these complex, high-profile environments, utilizing its 500,000-square-foot manufacturing campus to manage the entire lifecycle of the build.
