Watercrest Senior Living Secures Ninth Consecutive Workplace Award

For the ninth year in a row, Watercrest Senior Living Group has earned the Great Place to Work certification. The distinction, awarded by the Great Place to Work Institute and Activated Insights, relies on direct feedback from staff across the company’s corporate offices and senior care communities in the southeastern United States.

The 2026 survey results highlight a significant gap between Watercrest and the broader industry: 80% of the company's associates identify it as a great place to work, compared to the 57% average at typical U.S. firms. Nearly 90% of employees reported that their roles hold special meaning and that they felt welcomed into the company culture immediately upon joining.

Marc Vorkapich, Principal and CEO, attributes this consistency to a philosophy that emphasizes servant leadership and individual validation. The organization maintains this culture through a behavioral-based hiring process and the "We Are Watercrest" engagement initiative, which encourages staff to integrate company values into their daily interactions with residents. Jessica Desjarlais, Director of Associate Experience, noted that the resulting staff satisfaction creates a ripple effect, directly enhancing the quality of care provided to residents. The certification covers all entities under the Watercrest umbrella, including Sage Park Senior Living, Pelican Landing, and LifeBUILT Architecture.
