Gleb Savchenko Mocks Critics After Alan Bersten Performance Backlash

The friction began during a recent livestream where Savchenko questioned Bersten’s technical ability and his suitability as a partner for Jenna Dewan during Dedication Night. Bersten had stepped in to replace Val Chmerkovskiy, who is currently serving a one-week suspension following a controversial social media post regarding judge Carrie Ann Inaba. While Savchenko insisted his comments on Bersten’s artistry were meant as constructive criticism, fans were quick to point out that the remarks lacked actionable advice, fueling accusations that the critique was personal rather than professional.

Despite the noise, Bersten’s performance with Dewan proved a success, earning the pair their first 10 of the season for a Viennese waltz. Maks Chmerkovskiy, who has experience with Bersten filling in for him, publicly praised the performance and urged the community to move past the drama. Savchenko, currently on a hiatus from the show after twelve years of competition, remains a polarizing figure among viewers. He has maintained that his departure from the series is a temporary reset, joking that he intends to return as a celebrity contestant to finally win the mirror ball trophy.
