The agreement marks a significant expansion of the existing relationship between the two companies, which previously focused on support for Samsung Gulf Electronics. Under the new arrangement, Checkout.com will handle payment flows for Samsung.com and the Galaxy Store across North America and the European Union. Central to this integration is Intelligent Acceptance, an AI-powered tool that utilizes real-time data from Checkout.com to minimize transaction failures and enhance overall payment performance.
Beyond backend infrastructure, the partnership introduces Samsung Pay to Checkout.com’s Flow, a low-code integration service. Starting October 31, merchants using Flow will be able to offer Samsung Pay as a digital wallet option, providing access to over one billion Galaxy device users. Woncheol Chai, Executive Vice President at Samsung Electronics, noted that the move is designed to create a more consistent foundation for global digital commerce, while Antoine Nougué, Chief Revenue Officer at Checkout.com, emphasized that the collaboration combines technical flexibility with greater payment choice for merchants.
