Savannah Chrisley Defends Pregnancy Amid Fiancé’s Legal Controversy

Reality television star Savannah Chrisley is pushing back against public scrutiny following the revelation that her fiancé, 56-year-old Jason Galanis, is a convicted felon. Despite the backlash surrounding his criminal history, Chrisley has doubled down on her commitment to their relationship and the impending birth of their first child.

The 29-year-old influencer recently announced her pregnancy and engagement, but the news quickly shifted toward the identity of her partner. Galanis, who is 27 years her senior, was sentenced in 2020 to more than 15 years in prison for multimillion-dollar fraud schemes involving market manipulation and the misappropriation of tribal bonds. His sentence was commuted by President Donald Trump in 2025, following his earlier testimony during the impeachment inquiry into Joe Biden.

Addressing the controversy on social media, Chrisley shared a sonogram of her unborn baby, emphasizing that her child should not be defined by external opinions or her partner’s past. She stated she refuses to apologize for celebrating her pregnancy, describing the child as an answered prayer. Chrisley previously explained on her podcast, "Unlocked," that she kept the relationship private for months to protect her mental health, acknowledging she was aware of the potential for public judgment regarding their age gap and her partner's history.
