The project reached full operational status on September 14, following a rapid development timeline that saw the system process its first customer order just six weeks after the initial announcement. By finishing two months ahead of the original project schedule, THG Fulfil completed the transition from contract signature to live deployment in under six months. The site relies on a fleet of 85 AutoStore R5 robots navigating 96,000 bin locations, maintaining a system uptime of 99.8%.
To optimize efficiency, engineers conducted 80,000 simulations using Footasylum’s historical order data and seasonal demand patterns before construction commenced. The facility is managed by THG Fulfil’s proprietary Warehouse Control System, which is currently undergoing ongoing refinements to improve bin sequencing and stock positioning. This implementation utilizes a hybrid commercial model, blending capital investment with THG Fulfil’s robotics-as-a-service offering to meet the specific requirements of the retailer.
