The digital transformation initiative has already reached over 200 Konzum stores, with plans to expand to an additional 260 sites. One of the most significant implementations is currently active at the Konzum store on Radnička Street in Zagreb, which utilizes 44,000 labels. By the close of the 2027 summer season, the majority of the brand's 600-store footprint is expected to be fully equipped. Simultaneously, Mercator has begun its own rollout, with 50 locations in Slovenia already modernized. Across the entire combined footprint, the project requires approximately 3.1 million shelf labels.
Management from both retailers emphasize that the technology is intended to shift employee focus toward customer interaction rather than repetitive manual tasks. According to Ivo Ivančević, President of the management board of Kenty Adria, pilot programs confirmed that the system improves price accuracy and minimizes errors. Hanshow’s leadership noted that the scaling project marks a milestone in regional collaboration, with further opportunities to refine store operations and the broader consumer experience currently under review.
