The latest summer fundraising push generated $310,829, securing the final gap to cross the multi-million dollar threshold. For the first time, the campaign included Applejack by ABC stores in Colorado, broadening the reach of the initiative that began in 2011. Patrons contributed by rounding up their purchase totals or participating in raffles featuring prizes donated by store teams.
Jess Bailes, Senior Executive Vice President of ABC, credited the consistent participation of guests and employees for the sustained success of the program. The funds support the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation’s network of over 30 research hospitals, which focus on developing less toxic and more effective treatment protocols for children. With 89 cents of every dollar directly funding research, the partnership aims to improve long-term survival rates and reduce the harsh side effects often associated with traditional cancer therapies.
