Collin Gosselin Seeks Redemption on Special Forces

Collin Gosselin has joined the latest season of "Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test," aiming to prove his mettle in one of television’s most grueling environments. Beyond the physical trials, the 22-year-old is driven by a specific, personal mission: to outperform his estranged mother, Kate Gosselin, and restore his family name.

Kate Gosselin appeared on the debut season of the show in 2023, but her participation ended abruptly during the first challenge. After jumping from a helicopter into open water, she sustained a neck injury that forced her immediate withdrawal. Watching that performance, Collin saw an opportunity to redefine his own narrative. "There’s definitely a part of me that’s like, I can do better than that," he noted during the season premiere, which aired September 24.

This competition arrives as Collin prepares to release a memoir on October 13, a project expected to detail his perspective on a tumultuous childhood. The family has been fractured for years, marked by a public divorce and Collin’s 2016 placement in a behavioral health facility—a move he later claimed was an attempt by his mother to silence him regarding alleged abuse. Kate Gosselin has consistently denied these accusations. While Collin remains estranged from most of his siblings, he maintains a close bond with his father, Jon Gosselin, and his sister Hannah, both of whom have offered support as he takes on this latest high-stakes challenge.
