BobaVida Challenges RTD Market With ORBA Popping Boba Pouches

Forty-four thousand square feet of manufacturing space in Mount Vernon, Missouri, is now dedicated to producing ORBA, a new line of ready-to-drink popping boba beverages. Developed by the team behind America’s top-selling popping pearls, the product line ships to retailers starting November 1, 2026, aiming to capture the growing Gen Z market.

ORBA arrives in a 12-ounce resealable pouch featuring a screw cap, designed to bridge the gap between traditional bubble tea shops and mainstream retail shelves. The lineup includes Raspberry Dragon Fruit Black Tea, Mango Passion Fruit Green Tea, Lime in the Coconut Water Refresher, and Strawberry Lemonade Green Tea. Each drink is sweetened with monk fruit and natural sugars, containing 45 to 70 calories per serving depending on the base.

Scott J. Van Rixel, president of parent company Boh Bah Inc., noted that the company leveraged its expertise in pearl production to differentiate the drink from competitors. With the U.S. ready-to-drink tea market projected to reach $17.61 billion by 2031, BobaVida is positioning its product as a shelf-stable alternative with a 14-month lifespan. Benjamin Masters, Ph.D., managing member of BobaVida, emphasized that domestic manufacturing provides the quality control necessary to scale for national retail distribution. To drive consumer awareness, the company is deploying a TikTok Shop affiliate program alongside geo-targeted advertising campaigns timed to coincide with store arrivals. While national distribution begins in November, a limited-edition Ube Cotton Candy Cooler flavor will debut at Jungle Jim’s International Market in early October.
