The new agents function within Casepoint’s existing eDiscovery application, targeting tasks that have traditionally required extensive manual review. The Relevance Determination Agent evaluates documents for responsiveness, providing reasoning and likelihood scores for every decision. Simultaneously, the Issue Coding Agent categorizes documents based on specific legal or investigative criteria, offering post-run quality control metrics to measure recall and precision.

CEO Paul Colangelo emphasized that legal and government teams require specialized intelligence that operates within established security controls rather than broad, all-encompassing models. To ensure transparency, both agents utilize a proprietary multi-model process that cross-checks outputs. Users must validate performance against sample sets before the software initiates full-scale document processing. CTO Vishal Rajpara noted that this architecture is intended to foster trust by showing the reasoning behind each AI-driven conclusion, ensuring that human reviewers remain at the center of critical decision-making. Future developments in the Casepoint IQ pipeline will focus on additional labor-intensive tasks, allowing agents to work sequentially across unified workflows without the need for disconnected applications.
