Shapiro enters the Dresher-based company following a stint as Chief Product Officer at Lightspeed Commerce. His mandate involves aligning Ascensus’s internal product organization with client-focused goals, bridging the gap between business priorities and technical execution. CEO Nick Good emphasized that this appointment is part of a broader push to simplify the partner experience and accelerate growth across the company’s retirement and education savings business units.
With over $1.3 trillion in assets under administration, Ascensus is currently shifting toward more unified, outcome-oriented development cycles. Shapiro brings a technical background to the role, holding a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Stanford University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. His previous experience scaling product teams at Wayfair and Adobe is expected to guide the company's efforts to integrate AI and high-touch service models into its existing financial infrastructure.
