Eric Shepardson Named CEO at TreadStone Technologies

Shepardson, who joined the company as President and Chief Operating Officer just three months prior to his promotion, will work alongside co-founder Gerald DeCuollo. DeCuollo is shifting into the role of Executive Chairman, where he intends to focus on board governance and client relations. The leadership shuffle comes as the company advances its DuraC coating technology into the third phase of a Department of Energy-funded program.

TreadStone has aggressively expanded its footprint in 2026, bolstered by funding from the New Jersey Economic Development Authority’s Angel Match Program. This capital is fueling the expansion of the firm’s 21,000-square-foot Monmouth Junction facility to meet rising demand from electrolyzer manufacturers. With a portfolio of 67 patents and a solidified status as a Tier 1-ready supplier, the company is positioning itself to capture further market share in the hydrogen and fuel cell sectors under its new leadership.
