The core of the Reserve tier centers on a 3.75% APY on cash balances, which the firm claims is the highest rate available without minimum requirements. Beyond cash yield, the program introduces a 4% match on IRA contributions—four times the company's standard rate—and a 1% annual match on up to $250,000 in generated assets. An additional 0.5% match applies to balances in Treasury accounts or direct indexing portfolios, potentially adding another $1,250 in annual benefits.
Public is simultaneously shifting its existing premium features into its standard offering, granting all users access to extended trading hours, waived OTC fees, and zero-cost bond accounts. COO Stephen Sikes noted that the expansion aims to prioritize after-tax and after-fee returns, catering to users focused on optimizing both emergency funds and long-term income strategies. Reserve members will also receive priority status within the company’s customer support queue.
