The two industry veterans transition to the Dallas-based firm from Foundry Commercial’s DC Metro office, where Genova previously served as Managing Director and Barker as Vice President. Their appointment arrives as Mohr Partners scales its national brokerage footprint, following a string of recent hires across major U.S. hubs including Seattle, Phoenix, and Detroit.

Genova brings over 17 years of experience in tenant representation, having managed portfolios exceeding 3 million square feet and $2 billion in value. His background includes senior roles at Avison Young, with a focus on institutional and nonprofit clients. Barker, a fourth-generation Washingtonian, contributes nearly two decades of expertise in sales and business development, having previously served as a Senior Advisor at Cresa. The team intends to leverage a conflict-free, senior-led platform to provide occupiers with site selection and portfolio strategy services tailored to the unique regulatory and financial landscape of the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia.
