Across all four top-tier subjects, CityUHK’s research output indicator placed within the global top 20, signaling a sustained impact in major academic journals and international recognition.

Beyond these top performers, the university saw a broader expansion of its academic footprint, with 44 subjects ranked in total—an increase of two over the previous year. Within Hong Kong, CityUHK holds the top rank in ten distinct fields, including Business Administration, Chemistry, and Veterinary Sciences. This data arrives alongside the university’s recent placement in the Academic Ranking of World Universities, where it secured 95th place globally for the second consecutive year.
