Maryland Contractor Got Electric Joins Mauloa SMB Accelerator

Got Electric, a Maryland-based electrical contractor, has secured a spot as one of three finalists in the 2026 Mauloa SMB Accelerator. The three-month program offers the firm a pathway to an investment between $10 million and $30 million while providing access to expertise in AI, marketing, and operational culture.

The Frederick-based company joins Strategic Factory and AceCo in the cohort, which was selected from a broad pool of Washington, DC-area firms. Through November 25, the accelerator will focus on scaling the business through internal development and strategic integration of emerging technologies. For President Grant Gotlinger, the selection serves as a validation of the firm’s long-standing investments in workforce training and regional infrastructure projects.

Got Electric has recently expanded its reach beyond traditional contracting into commercial solar operations, battery storage, and EV infrastructure. This growth trajectory earned the firm a spot at number 92 on Solar Power World’s 2026 Top Solar Contractors list. Beyond its technical portfolio, the company maintains active apprenticeship programs and community initiatives, including a recent donation of 57 solar panels to a Virginia nonprofit. Mauloa Founding Partner Andrew Sachs noted that the company’s internal culture and talent development model were primary factors in its selection for the program, which aims to provide growth capital without the disruption common to traditional private equity.
