Jansson has been a central figure in the company’s expansion, earning praise from CEO Eyjólfur Magnús Kristinsson for his analytical rigor and ability to navigate complex business environments. While his shift to an advisory role marks a departure from daily operational management, he will continue working alongside the executive team and the Board to facilitate a transition. The company has expressed gratitude for his tenure, noting his influence on the firm’s development and culture.
In tandem with this leadership change, atNorth announced a donation toward research into Systemic Sarcoidosis, the condition impacting Jansson. Eva Sóley Guðbjörnsdóttir, the company's CFO and Deputy CEO, stated that the contribution aims to support the advancement of medical understanding regarding the rare disease. Based in Reykjavik, atNorth currently operates seven data centers across the Nordics, with several additional major sites under development.
