GomSpace Secures 3.8 Million Euro Satellite Partnership

A 3.8 million euro contract marks the start of a strategic partnership between GomSpace and an unnamed European firm specializing in critical space technology. The deal, announced September 18, secures the Danish satellite manufacturer a role in a multi-phased program spanning late 2026 through the end of 2027.

The agreement encompasses a comprehensive supply of platform kits, mission services, and standard satellite products. By serving as a primary technology partner, GomSpace aims to leverage this initial engagement to cultivate a long-term collaboration. Oliver Schiewe, Vice President of Satellite Systems, noted that the framework is designed to support the customer's broader space ambitions through the company’s existing portfolio.

While the current contract is valued at approximately 42.2 million SEK, both parties have left the door open for program expansion. Future phases will be determined as the initial deliveries progress, potentially deepening the relationship beyond the current scope. This marks the first time GomSpace has worked with this specific commercial customer, further extending the footprint of the Aalborg-based group across the EMEA region.
