Investors Target Hyliion Holdings Over Alleged Partnership Deception

A securities class action lawsuit now challenges Hyliion Holdings Corp. following claims that the power generator company misled shareholders about the legitimacy of a key business partnership. The litigation centers on a deal with VFG Holdings LLC that allegedly served as a catalyst for artificial stock price inflation.

The complaint filed by Robbins LLP alleges that Hyliion issued materially false statements regarding its collaboration with VFG Holdings, an entity formed in January 2026. Investors who purchased Hyliion stock between May 12 and June 23, 2026, claim the partnership was a tactical move to drive up share prices, allowing insiders to offload stock before the truth surfaced.

The facade began to crumble on June 23, 2026, when a report from Pelican Way Research highlighted critical red flags: VFG appeared to lack actual business operations, possessed a minimal web presence, and employed only four people. Market reaction was immediate, with Hyliion shares plummeting 16% that day, followed by a further 19% decline to $4.92 per share by June 24.

Robbins LLP is currently seeking lead plaintiffs to represent the class, with a filing deadline of October 27, 2026. Participation in the suit carries no upfront cost, as the firm operates on a contingency fee basis. Investors affected by the price volatility are encouraged to reach out to attorney Aaron Dumas, Jr. to discuss their legal standing.
