Luis Lamshoeft moves to Migros to lead AI and robotics strategy

Luis Lamshoeft has transitioned to Migros Supermarkt as Head of AI & Robotics Strategy, departing his role at Majid Al Futtaim. He will oversee the integration of advanced technologies across the Swiss retailer’s operations, focusing on store automation and the efficiency of goods distribution from centers to store shelves.

In his previous capacity at Majid Al Futtaim, Lamshoeft served as Manager of Commercial Strategy and Strategic Projects for the MAF Carrefour Center of Excellence. His new mandate at Migros involves translating technological innovation into practical results for the retailer’s workforce and customer base. Beyond core AI and robotics deployment, Lamshoeft is tasked with optimizing replenishment processes to streamline the supply chain across Switzerland.

This appointment coincides with a broader push for operational modernization at Migros, which recently entered a partnership with Just Eat Takeaway.com. The collaboration enables the delivery of over 10,000 household essentials to customers in Geneva, Valais, and Ticino in under 60 minutes. Lukas Streich, Managing Director at Just Eat Switzerland, noted that the deal aligns with the company’s objective to provide product accessibility at any time by leveraging the retailer's established market position.
