The five-year development roadmap focuses on integrating new immersive rides and enhancing the current portfolio of attractions to align with shifting visitor demands. Beyond the entertainment sector, the investment will broaden the island’s hospitality footprint by adding hotel rooms to accommodate rising tourist volumes. These projects operate independently of the previously announced Disney collaboration.
Chairman Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak stated that the initiative directly supports Abu Dhabi’s Tourism Strategy 2030. By scaling up leisure offerings, the project aims to drive long-term economic diversification and job creation within the emirate. This strategy underscores a broader ambition to refine the destination’s appeal, ensuring it remains competitive for international travelers while contributing to the sustainable growth of the local economy.
