Sionic bolsters leadership with two senior appointments

CEO and founder Ronald Herman noted that both Varma and Ciranni bring a mix of technical leadership and industry expertise essential for driving growth. Varma, formerly of Shift4 and founder of Velocity Solutions, will lead the development of Sionic’s Instant Bank Pay platform, focusing on instant payment technology, AI-driven fraud detection, and agentic commerce initiatives. He intends to integrate these technologies to reshape how financial institutions and retailers transact.

Joe Ciranni arrives with three decades of experience in enterprise sales and operational leadership, including tenures at Hewlett Packard, ServiceNow, and most recently as VP of Customer Experience at Talitrix. In his new role at Sionic, he will oversee the company's client success and account management teams to maximize value for partners and customers during a period of significant industry change.
