The asset purchase encompasses the rights to sanitary pads, liners, and tampons, alongside the local manufacturing infrastructure required to produce them. For the twelve-month period ending June 30, 2026, the acquired business generated approximately BRL 800 million in net sales. Essity President and CEO Ulrika Kolsrud noted that the deal aligns with the company’s strategy to prioritize high-value categories, leveraging its existing success with the TENA incontinence brand in the region.
Finalization of the deal remains subject to regulatory clearance in Brazil and the completion of a separate transaction between Kimberly-Clark and Kenvue. If conditions are met, the acquisition is expected to close in the second quarter of 2027. This expansion follows Essity’s February 2026 acquisition of the same product lines in North America, signaling a broader consolidation effort by the company to dominate the global feminine care sector.
