Genesis Unveils GV90 Flagship SUV in San Francisco

Genesis has officially entered the ultra-luxury electric market with the debut of the GV90, a full-size SUV unveiled at San Francisco’s Palace of Fine Arts. Designed to anchor the brand's next decade of growth, the flagship model blends advanced performance hardware with a hospitality-focused interior inspired by Korean aesthetic traditions.

The GV90 arrives in two distinct configurations: the standard model and the Neolun variant. The latter features the industry-first Neolun Arch Gate, a hidden B-pillar coach door system that creates an expansive, pillar-less entry point. To maintain structural integrity without a traditional B-pillar, engineers integrated a high-strength dual steel beam architecture and a reinforced roll cage, ensuring the vehicle meets rigorous crash safety standards.

Built on the brand's exclusive eMP platform, the SUV is powered by a 123.5 kilowatt-hour battery—the largest in the Hyundai Motor Group lineup. This high-capacity system supports a dual-motor powertrain delivering 657 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque. Performance is managed through a suite of advanced chassis technologies, including multi-chamber air suspension, active rear-wheel steering, and a Dual Electronic Limited Slip Differential. Inside, the cabin functions as a curated living space, featuring a 24.6-inch OLED cinematic display, a 25-speaker Bang & Olufsen audio system, and motorized swiveling front seats that allow for a lounge-style layout when parked.
