Thrower, who first joined the firm’s Arizona division in 2018, has held responsibilities ranging from project delivery to talent development. His promotion signals a focus on the company’s signature self-performing model, which emphasizes early builder involvement and extensive use of prefabrication. Southwest regional leader Brian Gracz noted that Thrower’s internal history and grasp of the regional landscape made him the natural successor to guide the unit’s ongoing performance.
DPR Construction has maintained a presence in Arizona for over three decades, focusing on complex sectors including healthcare, advanced technology, and higher education. The firm, which operates as a privately held, employee-owned entity, currently employs more than 13,500 professionals globally. In his new capacity, Thrower will be responsible for balancing the demands of high-growth infrastructure projects with the company's broader commitment to community engagement and philanthropic initiatives, such as its foundation grants.
