Best Buy Taps Former Nordstrom Executive Anne Bramman as CFO

Best Buy has named Anne Bramman as its new executive vice president and chief financial officer, effective August 19. The appointment marks a strategic move for the electronics retailer, as the incoming CEO Jason Bonfig looks to leverage Bramman’s extensive background in finance and large-scale consumer operations to drive future growth.

Bramman joins the organization following a tenure as chief financial and growth officer at the consumer analytics firm Circana. Her resume includes a significant stint as CFO at Nordstrom, where she managed financial strategy and capital allocation during the department store’s digital transformation. She has also held senior financial leadership positions at Avery Dennison, Carnival Cruise Line, and L Brands, alongside serving on the boards of Morningstar and McCormick & Company.

Jason Bonfig, who is set to lead the company, highlighted that Bramman’s specific expertise in operations and consumer-facing finance aligns with the brand's long-term objectives. Bramman noted that she has long followed Best Buy’s efforts to innovate and adapt to shifting customer demands, stating she intends to work closely with the leadership team to accelerate the company’s performance in a competitive retail landscape.
