Adelanto School Employees Sue District Over Safety Failures

Ireri Peralta, Xenia Lovett, and Sandra Alamillo claim the district prioritized the protection of Krause over their own safety after a San Bernardino Superior Court issued a workplace violence restraining order against him in March 2025. The filings suggest that the district’s response to the court order was inconsistent, citing an incident at a July 2025 conference where Krause allegedly sat behind Alamillo, only for law enforcement to interrogate the employee rather than the board member.

Legal counsel Joe Richardson of McCune Law Group argues that the women became targets for professional retaliation immediately after securing the order. The claims detail a pattern of exclusionary practices, including removal from board meetings, inconsistent security protocols, and diminished job duties. Furthermore, the employees allege that the district terminated its outside counsel contract because the firm investigated Krause, while simultaneously providing legal support for him in the same matter. The claimants, who seek damages exceeding $35,000, cite violations of the Fair Employment and Housing Act and Title IX, asserting that the district effectively abandoned its duty of care.
