Bookmark Medical Enters Michigan Market with Village Medical Acquisition

The acquisition integrates Huron Valley Practice Affiliates into the Bookmark Medical ecosystem, bringing approximately 40 providers and 350 staff members into the fold. These operations span Southeast Michigan, including locations in Farmington, Livonia, Northville, Novi, South Lyon, Walled Lake, and Westland. CEO Benson Sloan noted that the transition aims to maintain existing patient-provider relationships while scaling the company’s patient-centered model.

Patients will face no immediate changes to their care routines, as they will continue to visit their current practice locations and reach their providers through established contact channels. While the branding will eventually shift to the Bookmark Medical name, the leadership team emphasizes a focus on continuity. David Hatfield, Chief Physician Executive, stated that the move is intended to bolster support for local providers and improve the integration of community-based healthcare services. This expansion aligns with the organization's broader growth strategy, which now sees the firm active in Arizona, Massachusetts, Michigan, and Tennessee.
