Under the terms of the agreement, Titan Aviation Holdings has purchased the entire aircraft portfolio currently held by the Air Atlanta group. These assets will be leased back to the airline, ensuring continuity for the carrier’s 14 widebody freighters, which include Boeing 747 and 777 models, alongside four passenger 777 aircraft. Air Atlanta retains a 51% controlling interest in its operating companies, maintaining its current leadership structure.
Michael Steen, CEO of Atlas Air Worldwide, characterized the investment as a milestone for the organization’s service capabilities. Alex Harman, a Director at Atlas and Managing Partner at J.F. Lehman & Company, emphasized that the deal aligns with a disciplined growth strategy, leveraging the complementary operational strengths of both firms to capture international market opportunities.
