Kate Bennett Joins DCI Group as Vice President

After two decades reporting from the White House and navigating the shifting tides of D.C. media, former CNN correspondent Kate Bennett is moving to the other side of the microphone. The veteran journalist joins the bipartisan public affairs firm DCI Group as its newest Vice President.

Bennett steps into the role following a tenure at Invariant, where she served as Vice President of Brand Strategy. Her portfolio at DCI will focus on executive communications, crisis management, and media relations. Managing partners Justin Peterson and Brian McCabe pointed to her dual background as an asset for clients, noting her rare ability to balance high-stakes journalism with the nuances of corporate messaging.

Her career trajectory spans from writing for Politico and the Washingtonian to authoring the unauthorized biography "Free, Melania." Having worked as a columnist and editor in Las Vegas before returning to Washington, Bennett brings a wide-reaching perspective on narrative building. She now joins the firm to advise C-suite executives on thought leadership and digital strategy, aiming to help organizations cut through an increasingly fragmented media landscape.
