The venture, operating under the banner of "Building Intelligent Industries," functions through two primary pillars: an intelligent equipment platform focused on robotics and automation, and a software division dedicated to AI agents, computer vision, and large language models. The group intends to establish local engineering and assembly capabilities to support a "Made in UAE" production model, targeting sectors including energy, oil and gas, public safety, and smart city infrastructure.
Benjamin Zhai, CEO of Robo.ai, noted that the group was formed to provide end-to-end system delivery for regional operators scaling their AI capabilities. By adhering to open architecture and technology-neutral standards, Alif Holding intends to integrate international sensor and communications technologies into a unified platform. This initiative aligns with the UAE National Strategy for Artificial Intelligence 2031, which anticipates that AI adoption could contribute nearly US$96 billion to the national economy by 2030.
