The newly acquired business will operate under the temporary name Cross Country Locums — an All Star Healthcare Solutions company. By merging teams, technology, and service models, All Star intends to expand its specialty capabilities and simplify staffing processes for hospital systems and medical practitioners across the country. The integration aims to leverage the established client base and service record of the Cross Country division to drive long-term growth.
Ken Bernstein, CEO of All Star, emphasized that the transition will prioritize service continuity for existing physicians and clients. From the seller's perspective, the divestiture allows Cross Country Healthcare to narrow its focus toward nursing, allied health, and workforce technology services as a private entity. Knox Lane partners John Bailey and Shamik Patel noted that the move creates a more robust platform, positioning the combined organization to better navigate the evolving demands of the American healthcare workforce.
