Luckin Coffee and Duolingo Launch New York Collaboration

Two brands centered on digital-first engagement are converging in New York City this summer. Luckin Coffee is partnering with the language-learning platform Duolingo to launch a series of limited-edition beverages and merchandise, marking the coffee chain's first major collaborative effort since entering the U.S. market last year.

The campaign, split into two phases titled "Study Now or I Get Icy" and "Time to Luckin and Learn," targets Gen Z consumers by blending academic motivation with seasonal coffee culture. The menu features four drinks: the new Piña Colada Mocktail and Pink Sunset, alongside the returning Mango Cloud Frappe and Pink Sunrise. These offerings are accompanied by co-branded packaging, stickers, notebooks, and bookmarks designed to integrate the playful aesthetic of Duolingo into the coffee-buying experience.

According to Mai Shi, Head of Marketing at Luckin Coffee, the partnership aims to create an authentic connection by combining the chain's innovative menu with the lighthearted brand voice that has defined Duolingo’s platform. Kat Chan, Senior Director of Brand Marketing at Duolingo, noted that the collaboration seeks to embed learning into daily rituals. The limited-time items are available starting today at participating Luckin Coffee locations across New York City.
