Sharon Osbourne on Life After Ozzy

Fifteen months after the death of rock icon Ozzy Osbourne, his widow Sharon continues to navigate a grief that she says never truly leaves. Still visiting his grave daily—a site visible from her own window—she remains tethered to the man she was married to for over four decades.

Ozzy Osbourne died in July 2025 at age 76, just weeks after completing a final performance with Black Sabbath in Birmingham. Despite suffering from a fractured vertebra, pneumonia, and sepsis, the singer defied medical warnings to perform the “Back To The Beginning” concert from a throne. Sharon recalls that in his final hours, he asked her to hold him tight before going downstairs for his morning workout, where he suffered a fatal heart attack. Paramedics were unable to revive him.

Since his passing, Sharon has balanced public tributes with the quiet realities of loss. She listed their 10,200-square-foot Hancock Park estate for $17 million, continuing a plan to relocate that was previously paused during his health battles. While she has faced public criticism over estate management and an AI project, she maintains that her focus remains on honoring his legacy. Reflecting on their past, she addressed a long-standing suicide pact they once made in the event of dementia. She ultimately abandoned the idea after witnessing the impact of parental loss on younger people, deciding that she could not inflict that pain on their children, Aimee, Kelly, and Jack.
