The proposed carousel, which carried a $7 million price tag for a full-scale model or $3.5 million for a single-story version, was abandoned to avoid venue complications. Celebrity planner Tara Guérard noted that bringing such large-scale attractions into an arena is notoriously difficult, adding that such features often risk trivializing an adult ceremony. The couple also pivoted away from a planned pond beneath the altar, opting instead for a dense forest-inspired landscape of foliage and trees after production teams warned of potential drowning hazards and water-drainage difficulties.
Despite these cuts, the couple maintained a playful atmosphere by incorporating carnival-style activities. Travis Kelce reportedly championed the inclusion of mini-golf and cornhole, which were set up inside a large peach-colored tent. Swift maintained a hands-on approach to the event’s aesthetic, focusing on the greenery and arboreal elements that transformed the sports arena into a garden setting. While the total expenditure remains private, industry experts suggest the final production costs fell between $15 million and $50 million.
