Mitsubishi Details Charging Specs for 2027 Eclipse Sportback EV

The new model, built through a strategic partnership with Nissan Motor Co. and based on the next-generation LEAF platform, integrates a 75 kWh liquid-cooled lithium-ion battery. Drivers can utilize Level 3 fast-charging to move from 10% to 80% charge in approximately 35 minutes, provided the power source supports the vehicle’s 150 kW peak capacity.

This launch marks a pivotal shift in Mitsubishi’s Momentum 2030 business strategy, which prioritizes a transition toward electrified powertrains. The Eclipse Sportback will feature a distinct aesthetic, including unique front and rear fascias and signature lighting, to differentiate it from its Alliance-shared architecture. Following the Sportback’s introduction, the company plans to broaden its portfolio in early 2027 with a rugged, off-road variant of the Outlander SUV.
