NAMM Prepares for 2027 Global Trade Gathering in Anaheim

The National Association of Music Merchants will return to the Anaheim Convention Center from January 26–30, 2027, positioning its annual trade show as a hybrid hub for commerce, creator engagement, and professional development in the international music products market.

Following a three-year strategic evolution, the organization is pivoting away from a strictly U.S.-centric trade event toward a digital-physical platform that now reaches influencers and buyers year-round. The 2026 iteration of the show set a benchmark with over 60,000 attendees from 122 countries, representing an estimated $9.8 billion in collective buying power. This global footprint is underscored by a heavy international presence, with Europe, Latin America, and East Asia accounting for the majority of non-U.S. participation.

A significant driver of this growth is the creator economy. With artist and influencer attendance now comprising over 26% of the crowd, the event serves as a massive content engine. In 2026, creator-generated social media coverage reached 70 million views, an 83.6% annual increase since 2023. By integrating creator lounges and studios directly into the exhibit floor, NAMM aims to help brands leverage these influencers to shape product demand long after the physical show concludes. For 2027, the association is doubling down on this strategy, offering exhibitors expanded digital tools to connect with attendees months before the doors open in California.
