The award-winning cart features a vertical architecture that consolidates the screen, high-performance PC, and scanning hardware into a single, cohesive unit. By shifting away from fragmented traditional setups, the design achieves a slimmer footprint, which 3Shape Chief Designer Eskild Hansen describes as a move to reduce visible complexity in the dental office. The unit’s rounded surfaces and clean lines are intended to soften the clinical appearance, making the technology more approachable for patients while simplifying hygiene maintenance.
Beyond aesthetics, the system is engineered for practical clinical utility. Launched in 2025, the cart includes an 18.5-inch Full HD touchscreen mounted on an adjustable swivel arm, allowing clinicians to present diagnostic scans directly to patients during consultations. The integration of a 30-minute battery capacity enables practitioners to transition between treatment rooms without interrupting the workflow to restart the system. CEO Jacob Vishof Paulsen noted that this focus on usability and performance remains central to the company’s design philosophy, ensuring that advanced technical functions do not hinder the daily operations of a dental practice.
