Starting this July, the partnership allows CeX Malaysia to reconcile payments from providers including DuitNow, GrabPay, Mastercard, Visa, and JCB through a single standardized interface. This transition shifts the retailer away from fragmented processing, offering staff a unified view of transaction data and centralized control over terminal fleets across all physical locations.
Dan Brannigan, Head of Operations at CeX Malaysia, noted that the move is designed to reduce manual administrative burdens and provide clearer visibility into sales performance. For Adyen, the collaboration highlights a growing demand for flexible, integrated payment infrastructure that can adapt to the complex omnichannel requirements of modern retailers. Soon Yean Lee, Adyen’s Country Manager for Malaysia, emphasized that the platform is engineered to integrate directly with the retailer’s bespoke internal tools, ensuring consistent processing regardless of whether a customer shops online or in-store.
