The new diagnostic tool moves beyond the limited genomic snapshots characteristic of traditional screening methods. By analyzing the full breadth of DNA and RNA patterns, Caris Detect seeks to establish a new clinical standard for identifying subtle biological signals. David Dean Halbert, founder and CEO of Caris Life Sciences, described the platform as a significant advancement in molecular science, intended to provide physicians with more granular data for informed decision-making.
Performance claims for the test are backed by the ACHIEVE 1 study, which assessed the platform's ability to detect cancer signals across diverse types of disease. The underlying AI models leverage a dataset containing more than 50 billion molecular markers, allowing the system to distinguish early-stage pathological patterns from healthy biological noise. Caris intends to continue refining the platform through ongoing research to expand its clinical utility and diagnostic accuracy.
