The company’s commitment to the event has evolved steadily since 2021. After serving as the official snack and hydration sponsor in 2024 and 2025, and donating bicycles through its internal Build-a-Bike program, DENSO’s involvement has now earned them a spot in the Tour de Guelph Hall of Fame. For DMCN President John Klassen, the sponsorship is a deliberate effort to strengthen local ties beyond the manufacturing floor.
Scheduled for June 28, the 2026 event aims to generate significant funding for the Guelph General Hospital Foundation. Proceeds are earmarked for the Phase Two expansion of the hospital’s Speedvale Campus, which will house specialized endoscopy and fracture clinics. Julie Byczynski, CEO of the hospital foundation, credited the company for its sustained advocacy, noting that the partnership highlights the impact of corporate support on local healthcare infrastructure.
