Taylor Morrison Targets South Carolina Upstate with Braxton Ridge

Thirty-three new residences will soon rise in Fountain Inn, South Carolina, as Taylor Morrison officially enters the Greenville and Spartanburg markets. The Scottsdale-based homebuilder acquired land off Hunter Road to launch its first project in the region, signaling a broader strategy to establish a permanent footprint in the Upstate.

The upcoming Braxton Ridge development will feature homes ranging from 3,100 to 4,200 square feet, with configurations of up to five bedrooms and four bathrooms. Priced starting in the $500,000 range, these properties will offer open-concept layouts and access to the company’s Canvas design collections. Andrew Bodary, president of the Charlotte region, described the acquisition as the start of an ambitious expansion chapter for the firm.

Beyond the initial build, the company is evaluating the introduction of its Esplanade resort-style brand to the area. This push into South Carolina is accompanied by a recruitment drive as the builder seeks to establish a local team. Clay Driggers and Whit Cox of the Land Advisors Organization facilitated the land transaction, marking the end of the firm's initial search for entry points into the competitive Upstate housing sector.
