Sungrow Debuts PowerStack 255CS for Commercial Energy Resilience

Rising electricity costs and grid instability have pushed businesses toward integrated storage, prompting Sungrow to unveil its PowerStack 255CS series at Intersolar Europe. The new solution targets commercial and industrial users with dual architecture options designed to maintain power continuity regardless of grid status.

The system offers two distinct configurations tailored to specific infrastructure requirements. The DC-coupled architecture integrates the SH125CX hybrid inverter with the ST245CS-S storage unit, creating an all-in-one system for new facilities that eliminates the need for external transfer switches. For existing sites, the AC-coupled option pairs the SG series PV inverter with the ST255CS storage unit and ATS1250, allowing for plug-and-play retrofitting that avoids extensive equipment modifications.

Beyond basic backup, the technology supports diverse operational modes including virtual power plants, demand control, and black starts. These features allow the system to function in isolated environments, such as off-grid sawmills or remote island resorts, while reducing reliance on diesel generators. Operators manage these assets through the iSolarCloud platform, which provides real-time oversight and maintenance alerts. Sungrow emphasizes that the platform includes three-tier fire suppression and overcurrent protection to ensure safety across all deployment scales, from single-unit installations to multi-cabinet configurations.
