The expansion marks the first retail rollout for the single-serve product, now reaching over 650 locations across the United States.

The brand, founded in 2020, developed the shots to align with a growing consumer shift toward food-based wellness. By offering a convenient, single-serve format, Kosterina aims to position olive oil as a daily health ritual rather than a mere cooking ingredient. This strategy taps into the rising interest in the Mediterranean diet, replacing synthetic supplements with whole, ancient ingredients sourced from southern Greece.

Katina Mountanos, founder and CEO, stated that the move is designed to meet modern wellness culture by making the Mediterranean approach to health more accessible. The retail partnership highlights a broader trend among grocery chains, which are increasingly dedicating shelf space to functional, food-based wellness products. With these new placements, Kosterina intends to bridge the gap between traditional grocery staples and the supplements market, with plans for further expansion across lifestyle and wellness retail channels in the coming months.
