The new venture marks a strategic shift for the provider, which currently counts 4 million subscribers. According to Chairman and CEO Ed Evans, SpeakEasy is not a trimmed-down mainstream offering, but a platform built from the ground up to match the communication habits of older adults. The brand launches with two hardware options: a durable flip phone priced at $79.95 featuring large, tactile buttons, and a $99.95 smartphone running a simplified, high-contrast interface.
Service plans begin at $14.95 per month, with all packages including nationwide coverage and access to the company’s U.S.-based support team. Consumers can purchase devices or sign up for service at 99 retail locations across 33 states or via the company's dedicated website. As an introductory incentive, the company is offering two months of free service and complimentary shipping on all activations completed before December 31, 2026.
