The collaboration leverages the TrueCut Motion platform, which grants filmmakers granular, shot-by-shot control over judder and motion blur during post-production. By implementing this software, Kinepolis intends to differentiate its premium viewing experience from standard cinema offerings. Eddy Duquenne, CEO of Kinepolis Group, noted that the technology aligns with the company’s objective of maintaining high visual standards across its global footprint, which spans Europe and North America.
Pixelworks executive Sevan Brown emphasized that the platform preserves creative intent while adapting content for high-end display environments. The deployment is expected to reach millions of moviegoers, utilizing Kinepolis' extensive reach—totaling over 1,300 screens—to standardize the viewing experience for both 2D and 3D titles. This move represents a push toward technical consistency in cinema exhibition, ensuring that high-frame-rate mastering and motion grading remain intact from the studio to the projector.
