Rod Stewart Struggles Onstage During Farewell Tour

“I nearly f-cking fainted,” Rod Stewart told the crowd in Salt Lake City this past Saturday. The 79-year-old rock legend was forced to pause his performance mid-show, signaling for assistance and utilizing an oxygen tank before eventually sitting on the stage steps to finish the set for his fans.

The incident occurred just days after the singer canceled a concert in Chula Vista, California, citing an acute upper respiratory infection and laryngitis. While his management team confirmed the medical diagnosis, Stewart faced sharp backlash on social media shortly after that cancellation. Fans expressed frustration after footage surfaced of the singer traveling by private jet to attend a FIFA World Cup match in Boston less than 24 hours after his show was scrapped.

Despite the recent health scare and the mounting criticism regarding his tour schedule, Stewart remains committed to his ongoing “One Last Time” farewell tour. The North American leg is slated to run through the end of the year, with additional dates in the United Kingdom scheduled for 2027. Stewart has previously stated that he intends to scale back his touring commitments significantly following this final series of performances.
