The company has now taken delivery of its full core of Low Enriched Uranium fuel, signaling a transition from theoretical safety reviews to physical commissioning. According to CEO Bobby Gallagher, the milestone confirms the viability of the reactor’s design and provides the necessary momentum to move into operational testing phases. The technology is specifically engineered for mission-critical environments where traditional power grids are either unreachable or vulnerable.
Sanjay Mukhi, the company’s Chief Commercialization Officer, attributed the success to a combination of existing nuclear supply chain integration and close coordination with federal partners. By observing the DOE’s authorization process for the Unity Nuclear Battery test, the firm aims to streamline future licensing efforts. Deployable Energy intends to shift nuclear power from bespoke, long-term construction projects toward a model of factory-manufactured, rapidly deployable energy products.
