A year after entering the region, GAC is doubling down on its commitment to the Hong Kong automotive sector. President of GAC International Wei Haigang confirmed the upgrade to the 2.0 plan, which focuses on deep localization, expanded service infrastructure, and a comprehensive mobility ecosystem. The company aims to move beyond simple vehicle sales by integrating digital services, software subscriptions, and ride-hailing solutions into the local market fabric.
To support this growth, the automaker is aggressively scaling its infrastructure, targeting the deployment of 22 new charging stations equipped with 88 fast chargers this year. The newly unveiled E9 Premium has been specifically re-engineered for local road conditions, prioritizing cabin luxury and range efficiency. By positioning the city as a primary global gateway, GAC intends to leverage Hong Kong's high new energy vehicle penetration rates to refine its international expansion model.
